Notes: Minnesota native. Called Monkey Flower because of the blooms' resemblance to a monkey's face, this typical wetlands plant needs consistently moist soils. It will slowly spread into an attractive, bushy plant, in a landscape setting. The small, purplish-blue flowers occasionally tend toward pink or white. Monkey Flower will a month or more in mid-summer.
