Giving Back To The Community

As a member of the local community, Thomsens Greenhouse & Garden Center remains committed to returning the loyalty and grace provided to us by the great people of Central Minnesota. We are passionate about giving back to the community and continue to be an active supporter of the arts, youth enrichment, the elderly and animal support programs throughout local communities. This includes local area arts organizations, schools and extra-curricular activities, retirement homes and communities and the Tri-County Human Society. We realize there are many worthy causes seeking to advance their purpose and in order to recognize a diverse cross section of these causes and balance what we are able to give, Thomsens Greenhouse & Garden Center has adopted a Donation Program that focuses on different causes on a year-to-year basis.

In accordance with the following guidelines, Thomsens will support donation requests within reason and limits. Our Donation program is guided by the following schedule for donations:

Odd Years (such as 2023, 2025): Education, arts, and religious organizations/causes

Even Years (such as 2024, 2026): Human interest, youth, and animal organizations/causes

To plan ahead, we suggest sending your request between September and February. If we receive your request during this time, we will respond within one week. Due to the seasonal nature of our business, donation requests received between April and June may take considerably longer to review and respond.
