Notes: Common in Europe and deserving of wider use in North America, this unique and hardy perennial is easy to grow in most soils. Deep plum purple, finger-shaped flowers dance on wiry stems above the low growing, dark green, pinnate foliage beginning in late summer and lasting well into autumn. They make a great cut flower and combine well with asters and grasses.
