Notes: An excellent woodland garden plant. Grows best in rich soil, shady, seasonally wet locations, but thrives in a range of conditions. Unusual cup-shaped bloom with an overhanging roof. Herbivores will not eat the plant, but the berries are a food source for birds like the Wood Thrush and Wild Turkey.
