Notes: Short-lived perennial prairie grass. Up to 3' tall. Lovely blue-gray turning to tan. The weight of the seeds causes the stems to curve gracefully downwards. Use on erosion-prone sites such as steep slopes as a soil stabilizer while slower growing natives take hold. Seeds are a vital food source for birds and small mammals, as well as providing cover and habitat.
