Notes: Minnesota Native. Also known as Ramps, these natives are known for their edible bulbs and leaves. The leaves emerge first and then die back as the flower stalks emerge. They bloom throughout June and July followed by a seed head that can persist throughout the fall and winter. Prefers to grow in shade under trees. It must have rich, well-drained soil without a lot of competition from other plants.
